Differences Between FT-100 and FT-100a

The FT-100 has been out for several years, and the response has been overwhelming!  Based on customer feedback, while continuing the tradition of low-cost automated testing, the updated FT-100a incorporates improvements and features that make it an even more powerful and versatile test tool.

The FT-100a is an upgrade and improved version of the original FT-100.  All programs, I/O devices, and Expansion Modules that interfaced to the FT-100 will also perform flawlessly with the FT-100a.

 

Some of the extra features of the new FT-100a:

Built-in keyboard interface - The FT-100a has a direct keyboard input using a standard PC-type keyboard.  This facilitates data entry into test programs as well as allowing Direct Command entry without an additional computer or terminal.
Extended analog voltage range - No need to add Expansion Modules for negative analog voltages.
Analog I/O voltage range can be set to 0-10v or +/-5v.
Analog Voltage Range Select - Program commands select the Analog Voltage Range (0-10v or +/-5v).
Ultra-high Analog Input Impedance - FT-100a Analog inputs will not load even the most sensitive circuits!
Low-impedance Analog outputs - Outputs are high-current, low impedance, with overload protection
Improved Analog Resolution - 8 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs have 12-bit resolution,
3 other outputs have 8-bit resolution.
Higher Baud Rate - The FT-100a is capable of serial communications up to 19.2K baud.
Enhanced Program Commands - Several new and powerful program commands.
Full compatibility - Fully compatible with FT-100 existing hardware and software.
